Lauren Hamer
Proposal for creative
media production project.
Format and Medium
My print for my movie poster will be an A4 size, I will make
sure that it will be in high resolution so that if I decide to put it in bill
boards or the sides of busses the quality of the picture will still be as good
as it is in small print.
Sector
The poster that I will be publishing will be marketing for a
film, the poster can be published onto billboards, in magazines and on other
advertising possibilities. The film poster is very important because that is
what the audience first see of a film, it gives them a slight insight to what
the film may be about and what type of characters may be involved in it. A
poster can also determine if the audience are attracted to it and decide by the
quality if they will go to see it. This means that the film poster will have to
look eye catching and interesting for the audience to show interest to the
film.
Working title
A title for the poster is very important it gives insight of
what the film is going to be about, it is also important as it gives a effect
to how the audiences feel about the film and poster it can also attract the
audiences. For example a horror film title is normally dark and mysterious that
can connect to the film but not too obvious; black or red fonts and colours are
the most popular themes to a horror film. The title for my film will be 3 JUVENILE CASKETS. I have called my
film this as juvenile is another word for young as the 3 girls are young vessels
that the young boy sees as caskets for his sisters souls to be replaced into.
Genre
My genre for my film will be horror
Intent of audience and age
The audience target for my film is 18+ as it is a horror; I
choose this age because the film will be graphic and not suitable for those
under the age. I also choose this age because they are more understanding of a
complicated movie that has hidden meanings to understand and comprehend. My
target audience will be both male and female that have an interest in horrors.
Summary of content
3 innocent girls. 1 demonic boy. When 3 girls go to play in
their family home play house they realise that they are not the only ones that
want to play but does this demonic mysterious boy really want to play or has he
got a score to settle to rest his soul.
The girls know that they are the only ones that can see this
boy but when the family start to realise that something strange is going on is
it too late for the girls.
With their hair and eyes changing, their sense of dress and
eating habits deteriorating, the boy has to possess both the girls to seek
revenge for the tragic accident that occurred hundreds of years ago with his
three sisters that caused him to become what he is today.
The boy causes the mum and dad to become seriously ill while
the girls run wild slowly becoming the sisters he once had.
The only way to stop the demonic boy is the hope of the
family friend who is looking after the mum and dad to realise that she is the
only one to stop this supernatural terror. But as time ticks on does she have
enough time to create peace for him and his real sisters through Ouija board to
save the family?
Summery of style
The look of my poster and film
will be very dark, cold and mysterious. My poster will consist of the 3 girls,
1 wearing today clothes, the 2nd just wearing an olden time hat and hairstyle
and the last fully in clothes from the Elizabethan era. The girls will be
around the tree house and the boy will be in the back round as a shadowy
figure. The whole poster will have a blue/black overlay to create the horror
theme to it. With the title above the children creating a shadow to them.
Legal and ethical consideration
The film poster will be suitable
through out the day as it will not show any gruesome or inappropriate scenes
that children cannot see. The poster will not have any racism, sexism and will
not offend any religion or ethnic races. The poster will be suitable for all
ages to see but the trailer will be shown on tv after the 9pm time.
